They say you never forget your first love and, in my case, that first love was a house. I distinctly remember as a child the first house I fell in love with was an old Bungalow home right here in Brookside. Ever since then, I’ve continued to be passionate about old houses, loving and learning more about old homes for most of my life.
Life took me out of state and led to experiences working within the housing industry on both the contractor side and later on the manufacturing side, further honing my home knowledge and skills. When I returned to Kansas City, I knew exactly where I had to live: Brookside! I purchased an old house in the neighborhood and transformed it into my absolute dream home. The renovation also fortified my resolve to make my next career move – becoming a Brookside real estate agent.
Today, I especially love sharing my knowledge of old homes with home buyers. My job is to understand all the factors that contribute to the condition, and ultimately, the value of each home. My past clients tell me that one of the best parts of working together is the peace of mind that comes with knowing I will not let buyers make a mistake. I believe that each old home has a unique story to tell – my job is to interpret the home’s past and help buyers and sellers author the home’s future.
